„Culture is one of the defining pillars of a nation’s existence. May we succeed in preserving and nurturing culture in the Czech lands across generations—and especially in guiding our youngest toward it.”
Mariana Čapková

„Being part of the projects of the Magdalena Kožená Endowment Fund is a matter close to my heart. I know firsthand the profound impact that arts education can have on a child’s development—not only in terms of talent, but also in building confidence, sensitivity, and the ability to collaborate. Thanks to the Fund, a space is created where children’s creativity can flourish, regardless of their background or circumstances. That, to me, is its greatest strength—it helps open doors that might otherwise remain closed. And that gives deep meaning to what we do.”
Antonie Doležalová
Knight of Talent, Czech Economic Historian, Professor at Charles University and Member of Robinson College, Cambridge

„Our partnership with the Magdalena Kožená Endowment Fund reflects our shared belief in the power of education, culture, and talent. It gives us the opportunity to support the growth of a new generation of young artists and to trust in the quality of our society’s future cultural life. We are especially grateful for the Fund’s attention to disadvantaged groups of children, offering them the chance to discover the world of art and believe in their own future.”

„Caring for our youngest generation of musicians is our duty—only then will the treasures of Czech music continue to live on.”
Jan Martiník
Knight of Talent, Opera Singer
“For me personally, elementary art schools hold extraordinary importance. It was in the environment of these schools that I first truly encountered music — and where the path that eventually led me to a professional career began to take shape. At the time, I took it for granted, but with distance I realize more and more how exceptional and, in an international context, truly unique this system is.
Art schools give children something that cannot be easily replaced — their first real contact with art, the opportunity to create, to search for their own expression, and to gradually build a relationship with culture. And what I consider essential: this opportunity is open to almost everyone, regardless of social background. In many countries, such an experience is available only to a narrow group of the privileged. Here, it is a natural part of education — and yet we often fail to appreciate the value it carries.
I am convinced that a relationship with art is not a luxury, but an essential part of a healthy society. It shapes sensitivity, perception, the ability to listen, and to think in context. And it is art schools that play an irreplaceable role in this process.
All the more I value the fact that I can be part of the activities of the Magdalena Kožená Foundation and contribute to supporting an environment that gives the younger generation the chance to discover and develop their talent.”
Ivona Křivánková

„With humility and joy, I embrace the opportunity to take part in the projects of the Magdalena Kožená Endowment Fund. Every young talent is a delicate flower facing challenges that no system can fully encompass. Where human effort can lend support, that support gains profound meaning—and I am honored to be part of it.”
Clarinet Factory
Knights of Talent
„The workshops and subsequent joint concerts that we have the honor of organizing with the youngest clarinetists fill us with pure joy and a strong sense that we need not worry so much about future generations. They are gifted, playful, sincere, beautiful human beings—and despite their age, sometimes remarkably wise. Simply put, they’re wonderful. Not only do they learn from us, but we always leave with great gifts of insight as well. None of this would be possible without the support of the Endowment Fund. Thank you for this beautiful collaboration—we truly value it.”
Hana Švajdová
Knight of Talent, pianist, composer, and teacher at the Žerotín School of Arts in Olomouc
“The Magdalena Kožená Foundation opens doors wide where there is usually an impenetrable wall. It is an honour to be part of a project that gives wings to dreams.”
Miloslav Tengler
Knight of Talent, Educator and Director of the Jana Hanuš Elementary Art School, Prague 6
„I support the activities of the Magdalena Kožená Endowment Fund because they are engaging, inspiring, and motivating for students, teachers, and school directors alike. The Fund’s events offer broad opportunities for both individual and collective artistic expression, fostering connections across disciplines and among art schools into one vibrant whole—demonstrating the enthusiasm, passion, and joy children and youth find in artistic creation and shared experiences.
These initiatives powerfully highlight the importance of this form of education, which significantly nurtures positive moral and volitional qualities in young people. They also give students the chance to meet renowned artists and collaborate on projects of high artistic caliber. For educators and school leaders, they serve as a valuable source of inspiration and a catalyst for the ongoing development of arts education.
One of the most meaningful aspects for me is the collaboration between students with special educational needs and their peers. This activity holds great value for children with disabilities—it brings them joy through shared success and helps build healthy self-confidence, which is crucial for their future lives.”
Tomáš Krejča
Knight of Talent, violinist, educator, statutory deputy director of GHMS
“I support the projects of the Magdalena Kožená Endowment Fund because they inspire, help, and develop young talented people across the Czech Republic.
They guide them toward values that are not material — diligence, self‑discipline, cooperation, dialogue, and creativity. They teach them to create together, to listen to one another, and to seek their own path through art. Thanks to this, they grow not only as individuals but also contribute to the cultivation of society as a whole.
I am convinced that today we need such projects more than ever. I believe that culture is a shield against coarseness, and art a shield against the absence of art.”
Ivo Kahánek
Knight of Talent, Pianist, Educator, and Director of the Prague Conservatory
"It is an honor and a joy for me to be part of the projects of the Magdalena Kožená Endowment Fund. Every young talent is a delicate flower that must face many challenges along its journey—challenges that no system of support can fully address. Yet where help is possible, all thoughtful initiatives are immensely noble, and I am truly glad to contribute, even in a small way.”
