Knights of Talent – 13 May 2026, Spanish Hall of Prague Castle

Yesterday’s festive evening Knights of Talent 2026 became one of the highlights of the 10th anniversary celebrations of the Magdalena Kožená Foundation as well as the opening of the 10th edition of the ZUŠ Open festival. More than 300 young talents, scholarship holders, and professional artists performed in the sold‑out Spanish Hall, creating an exceptionally powerful and joyful atmosphere.

Under the baton of conductor Jan Kučera, the audience enjoyed a diverse programme ranging from Mozart and Janáček to contemporary composers, including the world premiere of a new work by young composer František Konečný. The evening was hosted by David Mareček, with solo performances by bass Jan Martiník and the ensemble Clarinet Factory.

The programme also included an exhibition of works by scholarship holders from the visual arts programme Colourful Horizons, displayed in the foyer of the Spanish Hall.

The audience responded with great enthusiasm, rewarding all performers with a long and thunderous standing ovation that underscored the exceptional atmosphere of the entire evening.
